AskNaija
Nigeria's AI-powered civic intelligence tool — currently being built and trained. When live, AskNaija will answer any question about Nigerian governance, elections, policy, or your democratic rights with evidence-based, sourced responses.
Build Progress
Our team is currently building and training AskNaija's civic knowledge base — compiling Nigerian legislation, electoral law, budget data, policy documents, and governance records into a verified, AI-readable dataset. Phase 1 is now live with a working civic Q&A interface.
Three Phases to Full Launch
Curating and structuring a comprehensive Nigerian civic dataset — constitutional law, electoral regulations, budget documents, sector policy, and governance data — verified for accuracy and currency.
Training the AskNaija language model on the curated knowledge base. Testing response accuracy, contextual relevance, and bias across a range of civic questions. Iterative refinement before public exposure.
Deploying AskNaija on the NITIZEN platform — accessible via this site — with a full browser-based chat interface. Multilingual support (English, Pidgin, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa) will follow in subsequent releases.
